The people are the story.

Most of this work is yacht shows. Mango Media was Diamond Media Sponsor of the USVI Charter Yacht Show for four consecutive years, 2022 through 2025, and works shows and regattas across the Caribbean including Antigua Sailing Week.

What's included

We cover the full week, not a session.

Every day of it

From the first morning walkthrough to the last event of the week. Setup, the quiet opening, the busy middle, and the night everyone remembers. A single day misses most of what happens.

Crew portraits

A charter is chosen on the strength of the people aboard as much as the vessel. These are made with care and enough time to get past the first stiff frame.

Yachts on the dock

The fleet as it sits, worked into the show schedule. Exteriors, detail and the character of the dock across the week.

Seminars and sessions

Speakers, panels and the working part of the week, covered for organisers, sponsors and press.

Food, drinks and evenings

Chef competitions, tastings, dock parties and receptions. This is where the relationships that drive charter bookings actually happen.

Fast daily delivery

Selected images turned around overnight so organisers, brokers and crews can post while the show is still running.

How it runs

How a show week runs.

01

Before the doors open

We agree the priority list with organisers or the yachts we are contracted to. Who has to be covered, which sessions matter, and where the portraits will be made.

02

Cover the days

Moving the docks continuously rather than working from a fixed position. Most of the best frames at a show are two minutes long and do not repeat.

03

Portraits through the week

Crew are busy, so portraits are made in the gaps between their appointments. Fifteen minutes on the aft deck is enough when the setup is ready before they arrive.

04

Deliver as we go

A daily selection each night, then the full edited set within a week of the show closing.

Common questions

Yacht show photography, answered

We were Diamond Media Sponsor of the USVI Charter Yacht Show for four consecutive years, 2022 through 2025, and we work shows and regattas around the Caribbean including Antigua Sailing Week. Tell us which one you are attending or organising and we will confirm availability, since the calendar fills well ahead.

Not during the show itself. When we cover a show, that week belongs to the show and every frame goes to the event. Private photography or video for an individual yacht is arranged before or after the week, which is better for you anyway because you get a full dedicated day rather than a slot squeezed between appointments.

The whole show wherever possible. Coverage from a single day reads as a single day, and the frames that get used most tend to come from the quieter moments at either end of the week.

A selected set each evening so you can post during the show, then the full edited gallery within a week of it closing.

Yes, and it is the easiest time to do it since everyone is already aboard and presentable. Fifteen to twenty minutes per crew is usually enough.

Yes. Chefs, captains, owners, resort teams and staff, on location and on their own ground. Same approach, different setting.

Either side of a show works well, since most yachts are already in the region and looking their best. Tell us the show you are attending and we will find a day around it.

Have a show coming up?

Tell us which one and how many days. If you are a yacht wanting your own shoot, we will find a day either side of the show. The Caribbean calendar fills a long way out, so earlier is better.
